Paul Casberg`s illustrations featuring episodes of daily routine of the German armed forces served as a motive for cigarette cards. These cards were sold with Waldorf Astoria cigarettes and for their collecting was published an album "Die Reichswehr" with a detailed description to each illustration. From the total number of 280 cards to Caslberg's authorship belong 245 illustrations, the rest 35 - to another German artist - Carl Schoen.
